Working on domestic retrofit, financing and business models within the energy system and the Sustainable Bristol program.
After studying I spent time in Brazil and France teaching English as a foreign language. Back in the UK I wanted to learn more about IT and worked as a software developer near London and in Edinburgh. While travelling in Asia and Australasia I learnt a lot about sustainable development and studied with The Natural Step in Australia. Back in England I spoke with the Forum but we went our separate ways. About six years later, in 2007, I joined the organisation focusing on the built environment. For the last couple of years I’ve been based in Bristol leading our work on domestic retrofit and am a director of Bristol Green Doors CIC http://www.bristolgreendoors.org
I love working on projects that define and develop a value for long term thinking and sustainable solutions. These could be from the nudges and incremental change brought about through the provision of information to the radical innovation created by overcoming a barrier in a financial case or business plan.
Outside of work I’m pretty busy with my amazing (I’m bound to say that) wife and kids, who are now three and one What time I have I love to spend away from the urban sprawl walking or out on my bike.
