The insurance industry is making good progress on its climate change commitments but needs to accelerate its efforts, according to Forum for the Future’s review of the first year of the ClimateWise initiative.

The report assesses companies’ success at implementing the six ClimateWise principles into their business operations and calls for urgent action in key areas.

ClimateWise is a world-leading initiative - the first time a group of insurance companies have signed up to a programme designed to put the industry at the forefront of the response to climate change. Members represent various parts of the industry and account for 60% of the UK general insurance sector.
